JULY 2015 SAGGIO DI VINO BELL HILL TRUFFLE DINNER
BELL HILL CHARDONNAY
2010
Quite concentrated and round, nice tight finish, shows it’s small concentrated crop, quite floral, more restraint with time.
2006
Lovely, opulent, with a lightness of being balanced, quite esterey, good flavour and persistence, hints at minerality and tightens it’s focus with time in the glass, nice linear finish, tactile, textural but light on it’s feet.
BELL HILL PINOT NOIR
2009
Quite closed at the moment best in a large glass, earthy, lovely minerality and chalky tension, clean, clear finish; with nervosity and a linear structure.
2006
Big concentration of fruit, held together by it’s tannins, very serious, rich and layered.
BELL HILL OLD WEKA PASS ROAD PINOT NOIR
2006
Spicy, with dried herbs; rich spicy palate, good mineral tautness and backbone. youthful, fleshy, quite taut but good mineral tightness. Matched with truffle consome, gives sweetness to wine and softens it.
2001
Very youthful, nice minerality, good colour, herbal at first but good fleshiness on the palate, lovely balanced, the smaller glass keeps it contained and fresh, good lingering mushroom and spice.
